Here inside Cowansville Institution, the selfless work of volunteers is of paramount importance in helping people help themselves. The Yamaska Literacy Council volunteers who come to this jail to impart reading and tutoring know-how have brought us much. People trained by the YLC in here go on to help others both before and after their release.
